NEAAAT’s high school robotics competition team began a four-day camp today, July 23, 2018. Pitt Pirates Robotics, FRC Team #2642 are NEAAAT’s mentors in this new NEAAAT venture. Fresh out the gate; the team geared up in PPE, used power tools, and constructed the base of the competition robot. NEAAAT FRC Head Coach Shala Spence is excited about this partnership and opportunity for our students. NEAAAT STEM Executive Director, Tonya Little, sends a special “Thank You!” to Ann and Bill McClung (Pitt Pirates Mentors) for this partnership.

FRC is an international high school robotics competition. Teams are challenged to design, build, and program an industrial-size robot for competition in field games against other FRC competitors. FRC combines the excitement of sports with science and technology.
